BX-72 was a Commando Droid under the command of General Grievous during the Clone Wars. It was part of an elite task force that hunted down Jedi. After the war, many battalions of droids were decommissioned and destroyed. While BX-72 was being decommissioned at an Imperial factory on Sullust, a malfunction occurred, causing the droid to develop a processing error, severing its inhibitor controls and giving it independence, empathy and emotions. BX-72 escaped, badly damaged, and made its way to Hutt Space. After repairing itself, it found work as a bounty hunter, utilizing the only skill set it ever had. Now it is based on Nar Shadaa, taking contracts as a freelance assassin.

This trandoshan bounty hunter who thinks he's hot shit, always snatching up jobs from people and hanging out at the cantinas bragging about his scores. One day he approaches me and tells me about this rich Corellian ship maker who lives on this private estate. He tells me he overheard a couple guys talking about where he keeps his credits and other valuables, and asked me to join him because he needs help getting in, offering to split the score fifty-fifty. I agree, because it's been awhile since I've made some good money, even though I've never liked the guy. I managed to get in and out with no trouble, but before we could take off, he grabs the money and purposely triggers the alarms outside the gates, shooting my leg off leaving me in the dust. I managed to escape before getting caught, but I haven't seen him since.
