Background
Adopted by a Republic Senator two years before the Clone Wars. Calahan grew up an outcast in Coruscant's High Society, and found most of his days spending time alone and consumed by his general studies. Upon becoming an Adult, Calahan attended one of the Most Prestigious Universities on Coruscant that would still accept Aliens after the Rise of the Empire, after some persuasion from his adopted father, to earn his current Mechanical Engineering Degree. A year before the Battle of Yavin, Calahan would find himself fleeing from Coruscant towards the Outer Rim, after his adopted father had been executed by the Empire for "Aiding and Abetting Insurgents opposing Imperial Rule". Two years after the Battle of Yavin, Calahan would find himself caught in the crossfire of a Ground Battle between the Republic Alliance and the Galactic Empire on the planet of Christophsis. After he attempted to distance himself from the conflict, Imperial Army Soldiers sought to arrest Calahan as a suspected Rebel Agent. While escaping the Soldiers, actual Rebel Agents observed Calahan rigging a Landspeeder's Engine to explode and disable an AT-ST. Once Calahan was out of sight of the Imperial Soldiers, the Rebel Agents grabbed Calahan and brought him with them as an Impromptu Soldier of the Rebellion.
Motivation
Family: The Player Character's family believes in the cause of the Alliance. Many of them may have signed on to serve in one way or another. Some (or all) of them could have died in that service. Regardless of his personal feelings, the PC fights for the Rebellion due to his family's involvement.
Duties
Sabotage: The largest and most powerful military force in the history of the galaxy is also the most vulnerable to acts of destruction and asset denial. The character is focused on disrupting Imperial operations in any way possible, whether it's the manufacture of weapons, troop movements, supply shipments, banking systems, or any other key operation, in order to make the Empire act more slowly and less capably. Truly showy acts of destruction also work to erode a population's will to support the Empire, or so the PC often believes.
