Jongu is disenfranchised with life. He’s spent the last 20-years as an aid to a regional senator. He role is to advise on political and social issues and write speeches. As a young toydarian he had dreamt of a sexy career in the civil service on coruscant. Maybe one day he could even become a politician in his own right. His dreams ended when he got videotaped with a young toydarian intern. Now he’s blackmailed for information and dirt on his senator boss. He knows he now never become a public figure as the videotape will destroy him.He’s now stuck in what has become a dead-end job. He’s become bitter, grumpy and cynical.

Politics - Jongu believes passionately in his political (Socialist) cause and will do all he can to further these objectives (better life for the poor and more even distribution of wealth)

Blackmail - he got videotaped with a young toydarian intern and is being blackmailed for information and dirt on his senator boss. There is a network pulling and political strings on the planet. he now feels powerless to stop them.

He doesn’t know who they are but suspects some kind of criminal gangs. Things started slowly. They wanted details of all meetings his senator is involved in (who he meets and meeting agendas). Now they are beginning to squeeze him harder e.g. persuade his boss to propose trade deals with certain planets and award contracts to firm’s he’s never heard of.

He knows he now never become a public figure in his own right as the videotape will destroy him.
