Background

He was a self-centered smuggler, power-seeking and credit hungry. For the longest time, Ekika thought she could change him. In the end, they changed each other. He learned the value of empathy and cooperation, while she learned the virtues of power, manipulation, and betrayal. She came out of the train heist with a speeder, a train car full of merchandise, and a new-found freedom. He got a prison sentence.

Ekika came from a middle-class life and she attempted to return to something like it after her ill-fated romance. She made do for awhile, but when word reached her that her old lover had escaped from prison, she found herself both unsatisfied and afraid. In the end, she decided to sell out her existing possessions for the chance to acquire power, fortune, and maybe even fame.

Now living on the move, Ekika Daysun does not shy away from the hard work of making others do hard work. A professional agitator, Ekika's understanding of emotions and motivations combined with her knowledge of the galaxy give her an edge into finding just the lever she needs to make someone's emotions run hot or cold. Through her travels, she hopes to develop just the right network of contacts to allow her the influence to shape things as she sees fit. To live a life on her own terms.

A life where she doesn't need to keep looking over her shoulder.

5/ Betrayal: Her betrayal of Closs Jerka left her with a deeply personal grudge in her rearview mirror. Word is that Closs is looking for Ekika, though exactly what his aims are remains unclear.

5/ Blackmail. Although Ekika got out of the train heist without being caught by the criminal justice system, hers was not the perfect crime. Someone with the right evidence could put her in the crosshairs of some powerful individuals.
