Background
Background: Agarra was born to a "middle-class" Hutt in the Vanderijar kajidic named Tolo the Hutt. Tolo's father was Rujir the Hutt and was reaching the end of his years being almost 1000 years old. Rujir had two children, Tolo and Robo, who each had one child, Agarra and Begela. The family lived on Nal Hutta the majority of the time, but frequently visited Nar Shaddaa and other parts of Hutt space on business and leisure. They never traveled outside Hutt space though, which left Agarra curious about the rest of the galaxy. As he grew up, Agarra learned a lot from his family about how to be a Hutt and how to run a business. He learned to control the slaves under him and manage the money that was available. He took to the financial dealings almost as well as commanding the slaves he was charged with. He had a very cushy life style in the family estate, but decided that it was time for him to strike out on his own. After having a weeklong celebration with his family on his coming of age venture, Agarra left the confines of his family's estate to strike out on his own. He soon found out though that he may have to answer to their kajidic leader Corlir the Hutt on clan business.
He went to Nar Shaddaa to start working as a low-level administrator in a Vanderijar shipping company, a job that his father Tolo set him up with. Agarra’s immediate family was employed mostly on the front end of gun running and smuggling operations and was never very involved in the clan’s piracy or gambling efforts. Agarra took to his new job well, despite having much smaller and less luxurious living conditions than he had on Nal Hutta. Unfortunately, only a few weeks after he left home, a slave revolt at his family’s estate on Nal Hutta resulted in the deaths of both Tolo and Robo. This left Agarra and Begela as Rujir’s sole descendants. Agarra was devastated by the news and immediately returned to the estate to help with the arrangements and to manage the aftermath. Begela, who was the older of the two by almost a century, took on the majority of the responsibility as Rujir was getting too old and feeble to be of much help. Most of the slaves had either escaped or been killed during the uprising and the few that were left were confined to the slave quarters and work yards outside of the main house.
Agarra was shaken up by the effects of the revolt and his perspective of using slaves was forever changed. He confided in Begela his feelings and urged him to not replace the slaves and instead invest in more droid labor and low-class professional help. Begela was offended by his younger cousin’s new found aversion to using slaves. He feels it goes against the tradition and culture of the Hutts and that it shows a sign of weakness on Agarra’s part. The slave uprising had depleted much of the family’s wealth, and Begela was not about to make a major change like going without slaves. Instead he ordered Agarra to leave the estate and go back to Nar Shaddaa. Agarra wanted to leave anyway and agreed to return to his new job.
Soon after getting back to Nar Shaddaa though, Agarra found out his cousin had taken out a hit on him so that Begela could inherit all of the family holdings when Rujir finally passed on. It was a rare occurrence to allow a Hutt to place a bounty on another of his own kind. Begela had been planning the hit for a long time though and had been manipulating some of the older Hutts in the Kajidic into turning against Agarra. Begela used evidence of Agarra’s new aversion to slavery against him in a case to legitimize placing the bounty on him. Agarra was warned about the threat to his life though by a friend and fellow Vanderijar Hutt on Nar Shaddaa and used what funds he had to escape the system. He has been bouncing around Hutt Space for a while trying to figure out a way to shake the bounty and get back into good standing with his clan. For the time being he has been able to avoid the bounty hunters looking for him.
Motivation
Power - Agarra craves power like most Hutts and will do what he can to gain more power, whether it be financial, political, or military.
Clan - Agarra is very loyal to his clan and has a strong desire to contribute to his clan as much as he can. Being on the outside of the kajidic right now drives him even more to regain standing with them.
Obligations
Family (10) - Agarra is responsible to the Vanderijar kajidic and will do whatever he is called to do if his clan ever requires him to act on its behalf.
Bounty (10) - In a rare case of Hutt-on-Hutt violence, Agarra's cousin, and only other heir to his grandparent's modest inheritance, has convinced the other Hutts in his kajidic to let him place a bounty on Agarra's head. He has cited Agarra's recent aversion to slavery and false claims that Agarra has been acting against the kajidic as reasons for the bounty to be allowed.
Description
Appearance: Agarra is a typical looking young Hutt who is smaller and slimmer than older Hutts, but is still a very large being. He has less fat and more defined muscle mass due to a lack of eating as much as his richer cousins. He has dark green skin with a bluish-green underside and a large tattoo of an elaborate Dragonsnake on his back. He wears a thick heavy cloak with Hutt designs on them to help cover his hide.
Personality: Agarra is easy to talk to and very quick witted, but also very focused and determined at accomplishing his goals. He is always scheming and trying to come up with ways to gain more power and wealth. He is also very concerned though with finding associates that he can trust to work with him. Due to his dark history, he is very worried about working with other beings that he can trust. He is very selective in choosing his friends and is willing to make concessions on division of labor and profits that most Hutts would view as beneath them. Anyone who is not a friend though, Agarra will try to manipulate as much as possible anyway he can to gain an advantage. Whether that be through fair debate, careful deception, or straight forward intimidation, he will not allow other to get in the way of his accomplishing his goals.
