Background
Formerly an up-and-coming politician, Aria got roped into some mess with some hidden rebels on her core world that she didn't rat out. Not because she's necessarily anti-empire, but more because as a politician, she likes a good bribe. Things got out of hand though, and she was on the brink of being sent to prison after one of her underlings caught wind and reported her. Thankfully, her minor political status had netted her a few connections with some corporations, and a buddy of her's got him out. The thing is though, she owes a huge favor to this person. It's her obligation she has to keep track of. Because she's good with words, even better at bullshitting and making deals, she's on the Imperial trade commission because it's what she was told to do. Because of course, making credits flow properly between corporations and the Empire will make sure profits are up, and that fat corporate salary grows bigger.
Motivation
With a possibly tarnished political career, Aria really doesn't have much hope to get into a seat of power as long as the Empire is in control. Still, anything's better than being in prison, even if it's doing favors for some corporate fatcat and securing deals for the Empire. Once it's all said and done with, maybe she can find some place to settle down and live a peaceful life. Her motivation is to be free from her obligations. (Ambition: Freedom)
