Emilia Celessa is the first-born of two ship mechanics on her home planet, Ryloth. She has been working in her family's business to supply ships to the rebel forces ever since the divide began. Growing up, Emilia met a troubled ewok named Jub jub who was trying to steal from one of her family's ships. Emilia's compassionate nature led her to see the true intent behind this ewok's actions - he was just an ewok that's had a life of hard times and misunderstandings. She saw the potential in him and asked him to join her family's business in repairing ships. Though Jub jub is often cold, they have grown to understand each other in a unique way.

Five years ago her younger sister was born, whom Emilia is fiercely protective over. Though her younger sister was born blind, it appears that the force is incredibly strong with her. Her sister's potential as a Force prodigy quickly became the talk of the town. However, these whispers of a potential prodigy being within her family took wind and the Empire has taken notice and want to quickly dismantle this hope for the rebel forces. Knowing her family was in danger, Emilia knew she had to leave to make the Empire believe that she was the true prodigy. Being an experienced mechanic and pilot herself, she knew it was safe to jet out of Ryloth with her companion Jub jub for the sake of her family.
