Falos Hakarl was born the fourth (and last) child to Gillian and Zarbos Hakarl on Dac shortly after the Imperial occupation. He had two older brothers and one sister. He was groomed by his parents to apprentice his father and become a doctor. His brothers joined the resistance after his mother and sister were taken off as slaves when he was only five years old. Zarbos tried to keep Falos out of the conflict and just minister to the wounded but they followed his brothers into the resistance against their oppressors after Falos turned twelve.

They continued to support the resistance through the continuing years despite rising Imperial consequences up until the orbital bombardment. He and his family were in one of the three cities destroyed. He managed to survive the onslaught, but his family didn’t. At least he believes they perished as he never encountered any of them since that fateful day. From that day on he devoted his life to learning how to fight and use his skills as a doctor to rid Dac of the Empire.

He had plenty of training as the entire planet rose up to depose the humans from their aquatic world. He joined a starship to harass the Imperial fleet in his home sector, boarding and sabotaging Star Destroyers, taking back the shipyards from the Imperials, and manning one of the ship’s cannons when he wasn’t acting as ship’s medic. He found respite when the Imperials withdrew from the system, but he knew deep down that many more planets and species were suffering the same atrocities as they had just battled through and couldn’t fend for themselves. He didn’t want to stop fighting the evil Empire until it was completely destroyed.

He got that opportunity when the Alliance arrived to negotiate with Dac for use of their shipyards. When the deal was finalized he, and many others, joined up with the Alliance to Restore the Republic and left the Calamari System. He was assigned to a squad and sent on missions that were similar to the hit and run raids he had done as a privateer on Dac. His latest mission saw him to Rudrig…

Falos is on the taller side of his species standing at 1.8 meters tall with reddish brown skin mottled with orange and he emits the telltale odor of the sea and salt water. His big fish-like eyes are yellow and seem to glow in low light settings, though this is just a trick of the light. He usually wears browns, greys and greens intermixed as a kind of urban and wild camouflage. He wears his medpac backpack around almost everywhere and usually only takes it off to sleep, except when they are in the field, then he will even sleep while wearing it.
