Gigor is an unforgiving world passed over by civilization. On this desolate forgotten world, Mangix was born into a small village and was never privy to the Force or able test his mettle with any technology. His early life consisted of searching and hunting for his next meal and then fighting to hold onto it. But the wilderness can be cruel, and rarely was Mangix able to make a friend that he could keep for any lengthy amount of time.

When the Zygerrian slavers started to round up Gigorans and take them off world at the end of the Republic, Mangix's village was one of the first to go, leaving him to fend for himself and survive in the snowy wilds of Gigor. Mangix discovered an uncanny timing for when to stay out of sight, almost sensing the coming threat of the slavers or wildlife before he would find himself in any danger. Despite the strife and increasingly volatile life he lived, Mangix kept his stoic wits about him, confident even when he would be forced to defend himself.

The existence and fall of the Republic didn't mean much to him until a Jedi by the name of Mas Sothos stumbled into Mangix while seeking a place to evade the growing threat of the Empire. Their mutual desire to remain hidden gave them a good reason to work together. They took refuge in one of the many icy caves of Gigor and in their time surviving and protecting one another, Sothos discovered Mangix's affinity to the Force, teaching him what the force is and how to feel its energy throughout the galaxy. There, in the frozen caverns, Mangix decided that his strength would be wasted if not used to vindicate and free the enslaved Gigorans.

Their friendship would not last long, however. When the slavers began to grow more and more aggressive in their efforts to round up the gigorans, Sothos was forced to reveal his lightsaber to fight them off and escape; the empire was soon to follow. Knowing what was to come, Mangix reluctantly left Sothos behind on Gigor, stowing away on a slaver ship bound for ___________. He was hardly off the ground before the star destroyer appeared overhead.

Vindication against the slavers who captured the Gigorans and slavers as a whole.

Strength: Survival on Gigor is not for the weak minded or faint of heart. Forged by his cruel home world, Mangix's tenacity and patience seem limitless. There is no force too large or intimidating for Mangix who can withstand strife as the shore withstands the tide.
Weakness: Mangix has time and time again lost those close to him causing him to wear a cold exterior to disguise his real desperation for any real, long-term companionship. A soft spot for families and friendship can lead him to be reckless in his actions in order to protect his own bonds or the relationships of others.
