Background
Found on Corellia, Varras has spent his whole life on Coruscant at the temple. Even from a young age, he showed considerable prowess with a lightsaber, and proved to be at the top of his cohort in raw combat.
This caught the attention of the Mandalorian Jedi Knight Tasra Wren, who petitioned that Varras be taken on a different trial - instead of the Gathering. As opposed to traveling to Ilum, like the others, Wren brought the youngling to Lorrd instead. There, they spent three weeks in the fabled Slave Pits, where Wren trained his future apprentice in both lightsaber combat and philosophy. Towards the end of their trip, Tasra was separated from his master by a cave-in. This was where his real test began.
Encountering illusions of his worst fear - an enemy that he could not beat in single combat - Varras was tested, much like in the Gathering. Unlike the other younglings, however, Varras emerged from the Slave Pits with a rare Lorrdian Gemstone in his hands. When assembled in his first lightsaber, the blade was a unique combination of blue and green. Now that he had passed his own test, Varras was soon officially taken as Tasra Wren's official Padawan.
However, when the Clone Wars broke out, Wren was sent to the front lines of combat. Eager to join his master, Varras did everything in his power to join the Padawans who would eventually join the front lines.
Of course, now he has to actually go through his basic combat training on Arda...
Motivation
Pursuit: Deadliness - Varras has always been talented as a fighter, even considering his status as a Padawan. Relying on both his innate agility and the various techniques he has learned over time, Varras takes mastery of his lightsaber extremely seriously. After all, if he ever wants to be Battlemaster of the Order, he's going to have to be the absolute best.
Morality
Morality: 50
Strength - Bravery: Varras believes that precisely because he has his powers as a Jedi, that he should fight for others. He willingly leaps to fight for others, or to cover his allies in any situations precisely because of these reasons.
Weakness - Recklessness: Varras is, unfortunately, also incredibly brash. Given his considerable skills with a Lightsaber - for a Padawan, at least - he has a tendency to charge into situations without considering the larger picture (much to his master's chagrin).
Description
Varras chooses to wear a modified version of the standard tan-colored training suit used in sparring training, as opposed to other, more traditional Jedi robes. However, Varras has made several modifications to the robes, adding several light-colored armored plates to the upper torso and forearms. He frequently wears a black utility belt, which are usually filled with essential survival supplies.
Varras chooses to carry two lightsabers, one possessing a unique teal hue, while the other is a regular shoto fitted with a training emitter (largely to support his ongoing studies of Jar'Kai). While he may not have a regular crystal for his second saber just yet, Varras definitely hopes to find one when he has the time.
