Background
Diode was a rather normal child. A relatively peaceful childhood, with a small group of friends and few hobbies. Unfortunately, a run of bad luck caused him to become destitute. The risk of sudden and unforeseen death aside, the Imperial Military offered a constant source of food, shelter, income, and structure is his otherwise dismal existence. He can understand the rebellion's views; he too, at one time, blamed the Empire for his misfortunes, but after joining the Imperial Military, he realized that for all of the Empire's faults, it did maintain order, and that was something he was willing to fight for.
Motivation
Belief: Diode sees the Rebellion as an anarchist force in an otherwise relatively peaceful Empire. He is willing to fight for the Empire to maintain law and order, as well as protect his brothers and sisters in arms.
