Background
Raised in a clan of free traders (both legitimate and so-called) - who have a few ships in the family, each used until the current owner passes it on, sells it to get a new one, or just retires with it if they’ve made enough money to put a new one in circulation. His ship was freshly purchased to replace the ancient G-9 Rigger that old Joey Dane finally retired with when he came of age to use it. Crucially, there’s no debt to the clan other than making sure the next generation has a new ship, whether yours or one you bought. Unfortunately, he didn’t have the name or contacts to get a single job that kept him afloat until a minor privateer lord and smuggler baron took pity on him and put Clark in his employ. Clark’s long owed Grodo for that, but hasn’t yet been able to repay him.
Motivation
Reward - Excitement: He’s a Corellian young adult, still technically a teenager, of course he’s motivated by thrill.
Cause - Freedom: He hates being forced to do or not do anything, and despite his ego he has enough sympathy to do so on behalf of everyone he doesn’t actively dislike.
Obligations
Favor: He still owes Grodo for giving him a few good jobs that kept him in business, and more importantly gave him an opportunity to start making a name for himself.
