Force Powers

Force Rating
1
Power
Sense
Description
By opening his mind, a Force user can commune with the world around him. He senses the endless movement of the Living Force, seeing beyond what his eyes allow. The actions of those around him are laid bare, as if the Force user had a bird’s eye view of his surroundings, allowing him to anticipate attacks and better strike blows of his own, or even spot ambushes and lurking foes. Alternatively, he can sense the thoughts of others. Even a Jedi cannot read someone’s mind completely, but a Force-sensitive being can detect his target’s feelings and emotions, and even sense surface thoughts.
Unlike many other Force powers, Sense has a basic power that can be used in two very different ways. Users can rely on Sense to augment their defensive (and eventually offensive) abilities, or they can invest in the ability to read the emotions and feelings of others. They can even read their surface thoughts, which can be particularly valuable in a wide variety of situations.
Upgrade Effect
Control Ongoing effect: Commit Q Once per round, when an attack targets the Force user, he upgrades the difficulty of the pool once.
Duration Sense’s ongoing effects may be triggered one additional time per round.
Basic The Force user can sense the Force interacting with the world around him.
The user may spend3to sense all living things within short range (including sentient and non-sentient beings). The user may spend 3 to sense the current emotional state of one living target with whom he is engaged.
Strength When using Sense's ongoing effects, upgrade the pool twice instead of once.
Power
Foresee
Description
Force users often have precognitive flashes, experiencing waking dreams or visions about people and situations through their abilities. These powers are rarely so clear and obvious as to provide unequivocal visions of the future, but they are certainly enough to give Force users pause for thought when they have a "bad feeling about something.”
The power of foresight has been used in countless different ways by countless different Force users throughout history. Some use it to gain vague images far into the future, while others use it to predict the movements of their foes or see an unexpected event soon to happen.
Upgrade Effect
Basic The Force user can feel the Force flowing around everything, seeing what is and what will be.
The user may spend(J to gain vague hints of events to come, up to a day into his own, personal future.
Power
Enhance
Description
One of the most straightforward ways in which Force users utilize the power of the Force is to imbue their own bodies with energy and strength. Making leaps that might otherwise be deemed impossible, moving at high speeds, and harnessing physical strength well beyond the capacity of most sentient beings are all equally viable. In this way, the Force becomes an almost literal fuel for feats of endurance and power. Most Force users find it a relatively simple thing to use the Force in order to overcome their own physical limitations and shrug off the effects of fatigue. With a little practice, most Force users are able to expand the arenas in which they can use the Force beyond that of mere brute strength. They are able to concentrate the Force into assisting them with acts of dexterity and acrobatics.
Upgrade Effect
Basic When making an Athletics check, the Force user may roll an Enhance power check as part of the pool. The user may spend 3 to gain & orO (user’s choice) on the check.

Background

1. From a young age, Grayynost always had something of a knack for knowing when danger was nearby. Back in more peaceful times, it helped out in avoiding the native predators, but this sense really came in handy when the Imperial occupation arrived. The elders told Grayynost that this sixth sense was him being connected to the Force.
2. During the Imperial occupation of Kashyyyk, Grayynost and his band of guerillas came upon a village massacred by stormtroopers. The rage and hatred he felt toward them, and what he and his band did to the stormtroopers when they tracked them down still haunts Grayynost.
3. Once Kashyyyk was liberated, Grayynost wanted to learn more about his connection to the Force, so he left Kashyyyk and sought out the fledgling New Jedi Order.
4. Uthrroua, the leader of Grayynosts band of guerillas during the Imperial occupation and somewhat of a father figure to Grayynost.
5. In his younger days, some trandoshan hunters came to Grayynosts neck of the woods, seeking new wookiee trophies. They were tracking a group of wookiees out foraging, but Grayynost managed to draw the trandoshans attention, and bought the foragers time to get away. Grayynost himself managed avoid getting caught until help arrived thanks to his sixth sense.

Grayynost was born in the deep forests of Kashyyyk many decades before the rise of the Empire. His youth was spent as that of most other wookiees, climbing around the wroshyr trees, hunting and tinkering. Something that set Grayynost appart from his peers was the sixth sense he had. He could always tell when others were nearby, something that really helped with the many dangers of Kashyyyk, and even more so against those foreign to his homeworld, as he learned during a run-in with a band of trandoshan hunters. This sense of his also allowed Grayynost to tell what those he was talking to really felt. His life carried on as normal until the Empire arrived.
The Imperials devastated Kashyyyk and the wookiees, but you could say that Grayynost was among the lucky ones. When the stormtroopers came to his village, his father and a few other of the elders held the imperials at bay while Grayynost and most of the others escaped deeper into the woods.
It was here that Grayynost joined a band of guerillas under the leadership of Uthrroua. Grayynost quickly became popular in this band, not due to him maintaing their weapons, but due to his sixth sense. Grayynosts ability to detect ambushes and help with setting their own earned him the nickname "Lucky".
The darkest event for Grayynost during the Imperial occupation occured when the guerillas came across a massacred village. Not a single wookiee had been left alive. Fueled by anger and rage, the band swore to track down the imperials responsible, and make them pay. Tracking imperials had never been all that hard, and when Grayynosts group finally caught up with the stormtroopers, the wookiees took their sweet time carrying out their revenge of the imperials. What they did that day, and the utter fear and terror Grayynost could sense in the imperials, still haunts him to this day.
Once Kashyyyk was liberated and the Galactic Civil War was winding down, Grayynost felt an urge to find out more about this connection to the Force he had, and so he said his goodbyes and left Kashyyyk. It did not take him long to hear about the praxeum on Yavin IV, so he made his way there.

Motivation

Enlightenment: The character seeks spiritual and intellectual enlightenment above all else. He does not seek to bring enlightenment to others, for he realizes that such a goal is innately personal.
Grayynost seeks to furhter understand his connection to the Force.

Morality

Compassion & Hatred: 60

Compassion: The character cares about the tribulations others face, and wants to help those he comes across. His compassion may lead to self-sacrifice in order to aid those who need it.

Hatred: The galaxy can be a cruel and heartless place, and compassion can quickly turn to hatred of the individuals or situations that cause others to suffer. When a character’s mind roils with simmering hatred, that hatred may be all too slow to fade.

Morality notes:
Conflicted feelings over the mass grave of stormtroopers on Tabiid. Felt maybe a bit too pleased over the dead, brought back memories of the occupation of Kashyyyk (answer 2 in character questions in particular)
