Joining the Empire after no other options proved feasible, Myn Deleste and his brother Gyn were appointed to an Imperial survey team scouting the outer rim for resource rich worlds for mining. Shortly after finding a promising planet, Gyn and the other crew members of their assigned Gozanti-class cruiser found a large rebel cell on the planet. Gyn ordered his team to lay down their arms and surrender. Instead of risking discovery, the rebels decided to execute the captured Imperials. Myn, who had remained on the Gozanti to make minor repairs, heard the blaster fire and saw the executed Imperials, including his brother. Powering the ship, Myn blasted back into space being tailed by multiple rebel starships. Out flying the rebel ships in both sublight and hyperspace, Myn made it back to the Imperial fleet in time to inform them of the rebel base and for the cell to be eliminated. Leaving that his brother Gyn gave orders to surrender, Gyn’s team earned posthumous awards, and Myn was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as the pilot of the ISD-1 Sultan
