As a child, Gwayn would do odd jobs for his neighbours. He kept this up as he grew, earning a small income as an unofficial handy man by age 10. One day, one of Gwayn clients jokingly offered to pay him to punch someone he was having a dispute with. Gwayn did it. Said client paid up, and turned out to be actually kind of shady, spreading word of Gwayn to his other shady friends, leading to Gwayn doing shadier and shadier tasks for lots of money. Gwayn had no problems with this, using a large portion of his disposable income to dote on his girlfriend. Until she found out about how he was getting the money. And threatened to tell the police/authorities/whatever. So he shot her. So Gwayn was exiled. And still does shady odd jobs for money.

Gwyan wants money. The money isn't for his girlfriend of course. She's dead. He doesn't know what its for, he's just used to seeking out money. He doesn't like thinking about why he is pursing this money, because he doesn't know the answer, and he doesn't like feeling purposeless.

Money - Gwayn works in the pursuit of money, and will abandon his current job if another, more profitable one is offered to him. He works in terms of expected value e.g. payout x chance of surviving to get said payout
