Background

From an early age, her parents had a feeling she was different. Cindra was sent to a planet far away from her home (Weik) to live with what seemed at first to be a crazy old woman, Ysell Median. Cindra began to clean the hut, then wash the linens--all the while helping the woman as needed with other chores around the home. Residents of the planet appealed to the woman as a sort of herbalist or country doctor.
As time went by, Ysell looked much younger, and Cindra began to realize there was something amiss in Ysell, and when she asked, Ysell confided in the girl little by little that she was, indeed, something 'different' just like Cindra. It was at the age of six that Cindra began her force training, just two years after her arrival. While Ysell has said she began HER forcetraining years before Cindra did, she has definitely made up for it in the time spent with the young woman.
At the age of 13, Cindra found herself doing even more for the woman, as Ysell spent less time travelling and more time in the home, providing the herbal and emotional support she had given to the community for many years. Ysell stressed the importance of her young charges anonymity during these trips, so the trappings of Jedi training were left at the hut and Cindra was dressed to appear as a simple medical apprentice.
Cindra was sent to the larger towns on the planet for trading. And, at the age of 16, she was able to travel off-world and seek out the medicines and supplies Ysell needed.
A few months ago, Cindra was making a routine travel off-world to trade for some exotic herbs, however she began to feel sick. She shook it off and went back to the home she knew--where she found the hut had been ransacked, her mentor AND her lightsaber gone.
Since then, Cindra has spent time filling in for Ysell, telling those who ask (few do on Weik) that the woman had a family emergency off-world. Cindra had dreams of her lightsaber, and of her training. It is after a few months of these vivid dreams that Cindra realizes she has to create her lightsaber and avenge her mentor's death. She will need to strike out on her own to do this. From her previous travels, she knows she will need to leave Weik behind, and she strikes out to find someone or something that will help her in her cause.

Motivation

Cause: Restore the Jedi
With the death of her mentor, Cindra wants to get a lightsaber to replace the stolen one. She will need to find a kyber crystal and build a lightsaber that will help her restore the Jedi. Cindra knows no one is an island, and without the full ranks of a restored order, the Jedi have no chance...

Morality

50--Cindra is at the stage in her life where her early lessons would shape her, but she also realizes that there are subtle shades of gray in what she thought were hardfast lessons.
While she finds herself drawn to the light, every so often, one of her methods may seem more dark-side. This is especially true as she tries to avenge her mentor's death.

Description

Cindra was born to a respected family on an Imperial-run world. However, once born, her parents realized there was something different about their child, her eyes would flash just before visitors came. She would carry on as if she were injured when one of them were injured...
By the time she was three, it was hard to keep her gifts a secret, especially as she started to bring them into play with the local children.
She has a cluster of freckles on her left shoulder, above which is a small scar which Cindra does not remember getting.
Luckily, Cindra's mother had heard the stories of the Jedi and realized her child was not safe on her own world. With a heavy heart, she and her husband saved up enough money to meet with travelers at the bazaar who directed them to a medicine woman from a small planet. The woman tested the child, and promised to train her talents after seeing the child was gifted in the Force. She asked for a small amount of money and a promise that the couple would not seek out their daughter.
She took the girl to her hut in Weik, a small farming planet where people mostly kept to themselves. She began to train the girl in subtle ways, and by the time she was old enough to understand, she told Cindra about her gifts and the ways she could use them--all the while explaining that she needed to be mindful to keep the skills hidden from those who might want to hurt her. Ysell noticed the girl's talent in Force Sense and guided her in ways to use it to benefit the two, as well as hone her physical ability.
Cindra is 21 years old, with shoulder-length Auburn hair and blue eyes that can seem cold when focused. She is talented at the art of defense, via hand-to-hand combat, and prefers to approach if there is no other way. Her skills at blending in (thanks to her trips for Ysell) have given her the ability to assess the battleground in most fights before jumping in. Her Force Sense ability has helped her through many scrapes, but has almost caught her once or twice when she's tried to blend in with the non-Force users.
Keep in mind, Cindra was raised in a small farming community, where inhabitants would seek her out only when they needed help. When she finally did get the chance to travel, she had to continually be mindful of her curiosity, so as not to lose focus on her goals or draw unnecessary attention to herself. With the loss of her mentor, though, Cindra can be somewhat of a wildcard. She will not hesitate to seek out the tools that will help her avenge Ysell's death--her vigilance and discipline are tools that will help her in her quest.
