Spartans have an implant cap of 6 instead of their brawn rating. In addition, after selecting their career, a Spartan player may train one rank in six of the eight career skills (instead of the usual four). After selecting their first specialization, a Spartan character may train one rank in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two). Spartans may also count their brawn one higher for the purposes of determining encumbrance and wielding weapons with the Cumbersome property.

Since Spartans are trained to be soldiers from a young age, their social abilities are incredibly stunted and struggle with empathy. Spartans add a penalty die to all Charm and Negotiation checks they make. Other non-Spartan characters add a penalty die to all social skill checks they make when targeting Spartans.
