Assets & Resources

XV-38 PORTABLE LARGE ANIMAL VETERINARY KIT [e3]-The XV-38 Portable Large Animal Veterinary Kit (PLAV) is produced by Xenovet, a Commenorian biotech firm famous for its high-end designer pets and precision veterinary equipment. Designed for use by veterinarians, beast breeders, or anyone who deals with large and often dangerous animals for a living, the PLAV features a veterinary clinic's worth of equipment in an easy to carry, man-portable package. Roughly the size of a large duffel, within its lockable, hard-sided case the PLAV contains enough drugs, medical supplies, specialty tools, and other gear to stabilize wounded creatures in the field until they can be moved to a fully outfitted clinic. The kit also contains a datapad containing a specialized knowledge and emergency procedure database for many of the more well-known beasts, as well as tutorials to assist those with no veterinary training in treating wounded creatures in an emergency.

The PLAV allow a user to examine, analyze, and perform medical procedures on all manner of creatures. Like the medpac does for humanoid species (see page 192 of the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook), the PLAV allow a character to medically treat alien creatures without penalty as per the rules on page 232. Additionally, it grants □ to all Medicine, Survival, and Knowledge (Xenology) skill checks made to analyze or treat these creatures.

Critical Injuries & Conditions

Wound Regeneration - Whenever a trandoshan would recover one or more wounds from natural rest or recuperation in a Bacta tank, he recovers one additional wound. Trandoshans can regrow lost limbs as well, though it usully takes at least a month before the limb is usable.

Background

Thiss Tsas was once a slaver.
Through the course of obtaining new merchandise, Thiss was captured by someone in the Rebellion.
While with this cell, his life was saved by the leader of the cell. His ghrakhowsk made Thiss swear he would never hold another sentient being captive.

Since Thiss' Jagannath points were reset with his failure and he could not go back to slaving, he decided to put himself into a target-rich environment by joining the Rebels.

Motivation

JAGANNATH POINTS
Jagannath points were a concept of the Trandoshan religion. Jagannath points were earned by hunters for each kill, and when they died, the Scorekeeper would tally the points to determine the hunter's place in the afterlife. To be captured alive was the greatest of humiliations, and reset a Trandoshan's lifetime score back to nothing, invalidating a lifetime's work.

Duties

COMBAT VICTORY
The Player Character is driven to show that the Alliance can hold its own against Imperial forces in any troop vs. troop engagement. He wants to engage the Empire's military—their best, whenever possible—and provide more victories for the Alliance to tout to the galaxy as proof it can ultimately win the war. This means daring raids, excellent tactics, and acquiring the best firepower possible.
