Background
Kao Cen Darach served on the Republic's capital of Coruscant during the years leading up to the war as Jedi Battlemaster. But his idealism and staunch opposition to all forms of the dark side of the Force upset the Jedi Order's political position on the world. Eventually, the Zabrak was assigned to serve on the security space station over the planet Korriban—the ancestral homeworld of the apparently defunct Sith Empire. During his time on the station, the young Jedi Padawan Satele Shan came to study at his feet, learning about the nature of the dark side and the use of a double-bladed lightsaber. But that ended when the Sith Empire returned, and his former padawan was slain by the Sith Darth Malgus.
Motivation
Quest: Vengeance
Kao is bent on destroying the Sith, and personally ending the evil Malgus' life.
Morality
Rating: 71
Strength: Bravery
Weakness: Obstinance
The Zabrak Jedi Master devoutly follows his own rigid belief system, which stipulates that the dark side of the Force needed to be confronted and defeated, no matter what form it may take.
Description
Darach strikes a very stoic and calm figure, rarely breaking composure. He stands tall and broad-shouldered, with light mottled skin and green eyes. The cranial horns common to his species crown his hairless head.
Other Notes
Darach's FR of 1, and no immediate ways to increase it, leaves him at a disadvantage for activating powers with Force Points. He will therefore usually commit his single Force die to improve his Agility by 1 rank, at any point other than the first round of combat (where he gets 3 boost dice and a lowered critical rating against any enemies who haven't yet acted). When his Force Die is uncommitted, he will use it to fuel his Saber Swarm talent, giving his dual saber attacks one extra Linked rating and allowing him a possible 4 hits per round.
I still don't like the Gunslinger for Lightsaber wielders. It's not a clean port, just swapping Ranged (Light) out for Lightsaber. If there ever came a spec with some Jar'Kai flavor, I'm sure it would be excellent, but the Gunslinger spec just doesn't do the concept even a small amount of justice. But there you have it! Such as it is :)
