Background
The privaleged few/With Great Power
Her parents serve on the council and are striving to rebuild the planet in a way that does not rely on smuggling, slavery, and spice. Nandia has been piloting since she was a child, and over the last year or two she has shown an innate abiity to chase down smugglers; some would call it mystical.
When Master Bae arrived on the planet to mediate a dispute around trading rights, Nandia had a strong feeling that working with him would give her the opportunity to find what her people need to move forward, and when she shared the feeling with her parents and Bae they all supported her decision. She offered him her pioting skills, and he reckognized her as a force user and suggested she join the academy for training once he completes his mission. He left her on the ship to consider is suggestion when he came across Swin.
Motivation
As the daughter of two council members there are many expectationss of Nandia, who wants nothing more than to help lead her people to a better future. While many others look at the Jedi as myths, Nandia believes the securing a relationship with them now will allow both groups to rebuild together faster than she could alone. She had no idea that she herself was using the force, but now that she knows she sees it as another possible asset for her people.
