Background

OB2 is a standard 2-1B surgical droid by appearance. It built a massively successfuly career on the core worlds as a respected surgeon.

A glitch in OB2's mental circuits curiously lacked murder inhibition. The predominating drive to heal balanced with this lack of discipline did not outwardly affect OB2's career: a motivation was needed to murder. Thus, this opened the avenue for assassination as a side-business to accumulate wealth.

OB2's murder toll of influential (generally elderly) people is serious. An intentionally botched surgery appears as a medical mishap among an otherwise highly successful surgical record.

A paranoid former senator priced a bounty on the head of an unknown figure thought to corrupt his trade influence. His contract was broad and open to any bounty hunter willing to investigate. This unknown figure was his son who also needed a replacement liver. OB2's investigation and subsequent surgical failure on the target lead to the senator's pursuit of OB2's destruction.

OB2 was seriously confused and could not analyze the contradiction on the senator's behavior given the open-ended contract: the senator neither understands that OB2 was the contracted killer, nor that the surgery was intentionally botched. He simply believes that 2-1B-OB2 should not be able to operate on high-profile figures and should be terminated. His love for his son blinds to the evident loss of trade conflicts.

OB2 is on the run and has lost his measurable wealth. It is inclined toward self-preservation, and improving assassination skills outside of surgery.

Motivation

Droid Rights: When it became evident that allownace to destroy OB2 had legal precedence, self-emancipation to continue stacking credits and to existing is a significant motivator.

Obligations

Bounty 15: OB2 has made some serious enemies, one of which is pursuing him for the botched surgery of his son. Reflection on his past could raise further suspicion for core world power brokers.
