##### Skill Related Stuff #####
Smuggler Skills:
"Coordination, Deception, Knowledge (Underworld), Perception, Piloting (Space), Skulduggery, Streetwise, and Vigilance. He automatically gains one rank in four of these skills (of his choosing) without spending experience, and he receives a discount when he spends experience to purchase ranks in any of these skills." (Core, 80)
* The four skills I chose were Perception, Piloting (Space), Streetwise, and Vigilance. Roan is naturally perceptive and alert, as his job sometimes ties him to hostile and criminal elements. In order to stay one step ahead of a swift end, he stays on his toes. Streetwise is to gather information about his particular job and Piloting (Space) is for when he needs to escape or pursue, both being critical elements in his line of work.
Scoundrel Skills: "Charm, Cool, Deception, and Ranged (Light). If this is the character's starting Specialization, he may choose two of these skills and gain one free rank in each, without spending starting experience." (Core, 81)
* I chose Deception and Ranged (Light). Sometimes Roan has to fool nosy cops trying to snatch up his business or trick thugs from breaks his kneecaps. When being clever isn't enough, a gun tends to do the trick.
Human Racial Skill Bonus:
"Humans start the game with one rank in two different non-career skills of their choice. They still may not train these skills above rank 2 at character creation." (Core, 48)
* I used this to get a free first rank in Piloting (Planetary) and Stealth. Roan uses piloting to make quick escapes or pursue targets and stealth to scope out a situation before he acts/get away from fights he can't win.
##### Experience and Obligation #####
** I started off with 110 experience as a Human and the game has an Obligation of 10. Spent 60 to bring Cunning and Agility to 3, 40 to bring my career skills up to rank 2 from rank 1, and 10 to get two talents worth 5 apiece.
##### Combat #####
Unlimited incidentals
One maneuver (more under the proper circumstances, basically move/aim/take cover
One action (Firing, hacking slicing etc)
Boost dice is a D6, Ability is a D8, Skill is a D12. The higher you have, the better chance you have of getting success or even amazing success.
D10s are used for percentile. Roll two, one is tens and the other is ones. A 0 is the highest amount.
Roll Cool if you see a fight coming and Vigilance for an ambush.
