Background
Strix was born into a rich family on the planet Falleen. His parents own a successful cargo business and want to pass their legacy onto their eldest son, Strix.
Being young, impatient and full of ambition Strix sets out to create his own legacy by gambling his family fortune at a high stakes table in an attempt to double their assets.
Strix was overly confident in his ability to win the game. In his youth, Strix had an impressive talent for sleight of hand tricks. He manages to use his ability to oust a majority of the players at the table but ends up losing to a suspicious character. Before he could realize that he had been cheated his entire family fortune was gone.
Furious, his parents cast him out of the family. Now several years later, Strix finds himself drifting from planet to planet gambling convincing himself that he can reclaim his family fortune and restore face.
He finds a small time gig in a bar on Utapau that will provide him free drinks in exchange for his service identifying cheaters at the card table. At this stage it is unclear to Strix whether his gambling has become an addiction or a motivation to clear his name.
