From Ryloth. Was not going to be a slave or dancer, so found a BH named Hartman, an human male. She convinced him to mentor her, even though he told her to avoid this life. She learned if she worked on gadgets and improved things for him, it impressed him enough that he let her stay around and began to train her with weapons and methods.

One day her Hartman went out on a mission, but never came back. She could not find out much about where he went, but now wants to see if she can find out what happened to him.

When trying to capture an acquisition on Tatooine, R’Leena injured an innocent civilian in the cross-fire. The local constable / law enforcement does not like Bounty Hunters so wanted to make an example out of her. Tee’mo the Hutt, who controls the local law enforcement, sees it as an opportunity to control a Bounty Hunter, so gets her released. She is told that there will be a request at some point where she will be told to do something for the Hutt.
What she doesn't realize is that there will be multiple requests and the obligation will never be met (+10 obligation for 2500 credits.)
