No'el has been a slave most of her life.

Her family were refugees trying to get to another world when the ship was attacked by pirates. She was kept as a servant for about a year before being sold to actual slavers. She was treated poorly and used for various tasks in a brothel before being bought by an older gentleman around fifteen years old. She served him faithfully for seven years, learning about a variety of things, such as culture and laws of other worlds. She was sold at the end of the clone wars to pay off some debts.

She then bounced between masters for about a year before serving on the Turtle. She was a trophey to show off while forcing her to learn how to help take care of the ship. She also acted as a secretary sorts, required to help organize information, meetings, comm codes, and the like.

This new life is unlike anything she has experienced.

Her mentality is one of need. She needs to be useful, she needs to serve others, she needs to be helpful. She really doesn't have a concept of self beyond what she can do to others.
