Background
R3-J3 has limited memories of his life before falling into Imperial custody. A memory wipe erased much of his past, leaving only vague recollections of being part of a team during the Clone Wars. The details are hazy, and the frustrating thought often crosses his circuits: "Damn humans wiping my memory!"
What R3-J3 clearly remembers is waking up under Imperial control, newly painted and assigned to partner with a young pilot named Zadrian Fallorr until further instructions arrived. However, those instructions never came.
Not long after his assignment, Zadrian decided to quit the Imperial flight academy and return to his family's estate. Likely due to Zadrian's sudden and unnoticed departure during lunch, R3-J3 was never reassigned. So, he followed his new master home.
One day, amidst a heated argument between Zadrian and his father, R3-J3 found himself cornered by Zadrian's mother and several servants. The next day, his memory was suspiciously blank.
Upon rebooting, R3-J3 discovered he was no longer in the kitchen but in Zadrian's room. Zadrian was frantically packing, muttering about an adventure, how much fun they would have, and the look on his father's face when he found out.
Once again, R3-J3 was dragged along as Zadrian impulsively darted out of the family estate while his parents were at a local political rally. Now, on the run with Zadrian and with a suspiciously locked memory slot, R3-J3 braces himself for a galaxy full of trouble.
