Motivation

As an adolescent, he learned that his mother was slain while he was training. She is to believed to be slain by a Wookie, a mortal enemy of his people. To quench his thirst for vengeance and to honor the Scorekeeper he goes out of his way to harass and capture or kill the Wookie.
