Background
I am Jo Kah, a Kel Dorin raised primarily by a tutor. He helped cultivated my natural connection with the Force, I'd be nothing and naive without him.
I got into a fight in school, and I just polarized the room against him. I flexed my mind and it strained his. Learning this, my teacher revealed his history; Wyat Op, a Jedi Sage in hiding after order 66, started my first lesson.
Lightsabers a little eventually, but none were easily learned. I learned eventually to control this ability, more each day. Not to only push strain on myself and others, but also lift it off. With time I learned to align the force to create general advantages for myself and sometimes those nearby.
Eventually my mentor was discovered as a former Jedi--- because of books I had snuck out--- and my ignorance and carelessness got Wyat killed. His last act was to get me offworld. I was sheltered then, but learned how to manage on my own with very little. A charm and my advantage helped greatly.
Finally, I found my way on to what I thought was just another ship, with just another crew. It was revealed, at first by two clashing red sabers, the force may have brought us together. I am learning so much with them, and we are becoming a formidable band. Can we control ourselves now that the current is so strong, as if four tributaries have converged to a strong river. Can the river be gentle? Where should it flow? Does it's rough force more often smooth the world, or flood it?
Motivation
Curiosity/Obsession
Enlightenment
Bring order and harmony to the most immediate first, but as life gains order Jo Kah often turns outward. He favors flowing with the force---letting go and embracing simultaneously. He believes what he wants to know was once known, but hopes for pure mysteries.

Lightsaber History
Ebb/Flow flavor: starting by rocking with the natural tide of the force, then like a child in a bath tube, getting the sloshing going more and more by well timed ebbs and flows. Once going, feeling the back and forth, I can leverage those predictable motions. From which I can gain and edge for myself or disrupt the actions of foes (the difference comes down to proper timing). Whether it from flowing and acting as the force sloshes forward or timing your foe to act against the tide, tips the edge of deplomacy--or battle--in your direction.
Niman Tech flavor:
wide/open (offhand over chest/main forward, feet wide);
High-guard (two-handed, blade high, feet wide)
Low-guard (two handed, low blade, feet narrowed)
(wishlist: sum djem, draw closer, force assault)
