B0B-3 was built to be the cook for a wealthy human family on Corellia. He did his job well, and was programmed to have an optimistic, bubbly personality, so he could function like a human bartender. He became very close with the family's eldest daughter, Sandre; she never seemed to mind that her best friend was a droid. When she moved out of her parent's house, her parting gift was being allowed to take him with her.

In the new home, things went well enough. Eventually, she got married, and had kids, and things were good. B0B-3 was still Sandre's, but now he was also her husband, Patrin's, friend, too.

One day, Sandre didn't come home. Neither did Patrin. B0B-3 took care of the kids as best he could, but he was a bartender, not a nanny. This went on for a week, before the grandparents finally decided that they hadn't simply taken a vacation. Sandre and Patrin were missing. The kids moved in with their grandparents, and B0B-3 was left on his own.

He decided that his friends weren't actually missing. That was absurd, a smart lady and a strong man don't just go missing like that, they must have had to go into hiding. So, he decided to search the galaxy to find them, with a gung-ho attitude and not a doubt in the world that he'd come across them some day, he devoted his life to exploring all of space, if that's what he had to do to get his friends back.

Childhood Friend: He wants to make them proud, even to the point of harm to himself. He also understands, somewhere in the back of his circuitous mind, that they would him to make new friendships and relationships in their absence, so he strives to make friends.

Obsession: B0B-3's only friends were Sandre and Patrin. He is unhealthily obsessed with making them proud, to the point that he can't make a big decision without contemplating what they would think of his choice. He also won't even think about the fact that they are probably dead, this ten years after their disappearance.
