Background

RUUSAN was a shard formed on the planet of ORAX in the Outer Rim. When human settlers landed on his homeworld and learned the crystalline formations were sentient, translator units were created which allowed the shard to articulate their harmony in audible basic. A naturally curious and contemplative individual, RUUSAN regarded the sentient meat with great interest and was one of few shards who sought to detach from the living earth and walk the stars in metal form.

Incurably curious, RUUSAN explored the galaxy, studying the myriad forms of organic and inorganic life that populated it. Fascinated by the mere fact of life, he took it upon himself to chronicle his studies, cataloguing a comprehensive list of the galaxy's specimens which he continues to build to this day. His passion and curiousity towards organic life grew to a desire to "humanise" himself, leading him to adopt facsimiles of organic behaviour and the habit of relaying his emotion verbally.

What allured him most was the threads that tied the galaxy and its life together. He sought to learn more of the origin of life and turned his research to the symbiotic web of life, midi-chlorians, that spread among all living things. Enchanted by the prospect, he sought further knowledge of the force and its ways. When he eventually returned to his homeworld of ORAX, a sub-sect of force sensitive shards had begun to form the IRON KNIGHTS. Eager to study among them, it would only be a matter of time before he himself became one of their illustrious members.

RUUSAN's fascination could not be staved forever, and he would soon leave his cohort to continue his catalogue of the universe, seeking out life's greatest mystery: the nature of organics.
