Background
Kroan was a foundling in the care of one of the few remaining true mandalorians. Shortly after getting adopted he was found by a lone Jedi Sentinel traveling nearby who noticed his very high force sensitivity. Being young enough to train, he was sent to coruscant to train in the ways of the Jedi; against his mandalorian mentor's will (unbeknownst to Kroan). Kroan still remembers these events that transpired with him as a very young boy, and embraces the Mandalorian culture along with the that of the Jedi, out of fondness for both his Mandalorian mentor and the Jedi Sentinel, respectfully.
Motivation
The Jedi: Kroan believes in the philosophical teachings of the jedi.
Honor: Kroan has a code of honor by which he lives, derived either from personal ethics or the culture from which he hails. He sees the Separatists as the antithesis of everything he stands for, and he will fight to the end.
