Griggs worked during the Galactic Civil War as a Search and Rescue pilot for an independant organisation known as the First Responders. Whilst many were battling the Empire, Griggs was flying to warzones to assist injured civillians and evacuate people at risk.

Not long after the war, the New Republic began working with the First Responders to provide funding for better equipment and more ships out in the galaxy. Griggs however, left the organisation over a disagreement that is confidential between his superiors and himself. Taking his ship, the Firebird, he decided to get into the astrogation and exploration trade. His skillset made him perfect for the job, and he found he had a knack for it.

Now aboard the Halcyon's Dawn, Griggs maintains a tentative relationship with the New Republic staff on board, but doesn't let them get in the way of his enjoyment with his work, ferrying explorers and treasure hunters alike into the depths of Wild Space in search of adventure.

Ambition: Discovery- His new lease of life as an exploration pilot has given him a lust for discovery! Seeing the unknown galaxy and rediscovering lost civilisations has really taken him, and is the major reason he tolerates the daredevil attitudes of Winter.

Stands at an impressive 2.8m tall. Enormous bulky build with brown fur all over his body, and darker fur around his knees, torso and nose. Large tusks protruding from a big mouth, usually grinning, and large black eyes.

Typically only wears his red and yellow cargo harness for clothing, however sometimes wears a rain poncho in harsh conditions.
