Background
Rwy'n Gyrru is a wookiee with russet colored fur, and a few slightly graying braids in her mane and a cybernetic left arm from the elbow down. She wears goggles pushed up onto her head, a leather belt and hip bag, and a poncho. Rwy’n was born in 175 BBY and raised on Kashyyyk in the city of Kachirho, in Tree Vikkilynn.
She spent her youth learning to climb, carve, hunt, and track - though she had the best knack for tracking and hunting because she was good at catching her prey by surprise. Her skills earned her a place in the Claatuvac Guild, an organization of wookiee cartographers, hyperspace scouts, and navigators.
During the Clone Wars, Rwy’n transported goods and supplies from the Trade Federation to Kashyyyk (and information to the Republic about the Confederacy of Independent Systems). She was on the planet for the Battle of Kashyyyk, and helped a Jedi get off-planet during Order 66.
Once the Empire returned and enslaved Kashyyyk, Rwy’n turned her tracking skills to a different use, helping family members and friends escape and find refuge out of the system. Unfortunately, not too long after the Empire took over, [a close family member] was killed during a run. Rwy’n was caught and sent to a labor camp where she spent a few years doing hard labor and sustained an injury to her left arm that required amputation and replacement with a cybernetic equivalent.
The camp was eventually freed by the rebellion, and Rwy’n decided to stay and work for the rebellion in hopes of being able to help liberate Kashyyyk from the Empire’s control.
Rwy’n was afraid to directly aid in escape attempts, after [her close family member] was killed, and she focused on other ways to aid the rebellion’s efforts, like transporting information and supplies, but she still feels a strong sense of duty to help liberate wookiees.
Recently, a contact in the rebellion has sent Rwy’n to the University of Rudrig to bring [advanced technology/weapons/supplies/information], under the cover of a scientific expedition, to the rebel base on D’qar.
