Made in the year 5652 Y-3M is not actually an official model of any make instead a prototype of the much later made juggernaut war droid, though not intentionally as the makers of the Juggernaut war droid in attempts to make a strong heavy war droid dug through old droid schematics and found the design of Y-3M.
Y-3M never left the prototype design phase their frame too thin for the heavy war work expected of them and the rocket implants jamming too often and its more rooted head thanks to the shield backpack made its application in large scale battles unfeasible.
Made in the Duwani Mechanical Products company the droid was eventually considered useless and sold as a one of a kind product for a quick buck to one of the many rich in the core worlds and was used as a bodyguard for a time as a novelty for almost a hundred years before his buyers and their family died in an assassination plot.
With no owner he was sold as useless junk since his purpose was unclear and the need for such a strange and unspecified droid hardly existed, sold from hand to hand and used for any number of jobs the droid quickly started to break down and change as many poor encounters with violent and hateful owners saw his frame and most importantly his core damaged and remade again, this mixed with infrequent memory wipes and constant travel nearly galaxy wide broke the droid and remade him constantly leading to one of the worst phenomena's any droid owner could imagine...
After over a thousand years of being thrown around and broken Y-3M grew sentience, not the sentience most droids are made with that in and of itself is questionable but true and unyielding free thought, when he could think.
Now able to think the first thing he did was save a mans life as at the time he was sitting in a scrap yard waiting to be recycled his last owner deeming him too broken to be used again, and the next thing he did was kill that man and his entire family when he tried to restrain him.
Now this rogue droid roams the galaxy going where he can without dying using his skills and knowledge to work nearly any job, though strangely enough he prefers to work as a doctor even if few people would trust a droid with their life, especially one that seems to often forget where he is and has a bit of a spark coming from his frame at nearly all times...

As seen in the picture Y-3M is a large humanoid droid model standing at 2.5 meters tall, or a little over eight feet. His thinner frame and make do aid him in taking up less space and his simpler older leg models give him a strong balance and fast speed, at the cost of lacking detail or any unique functionality.
Currently stripped down to his more bare frame his only unique feature is the rusted signaling shield on his back that surprisingly to many is another droid! A simple old shield remote droid model it sits currently offline and unpowered, Y-3M only looking for a way or mechanic to fix it and he will have back his one and only travelling partner.
