Tarrfur the Wookie was taken from Kashyyyk at a young age as a slave by trandoshans and sold to Hutts to fight in the arenas on Nar shadaa and Nal Hutta. After becoming successful and an Arena celebrity an unknown patron payed for Tarrfur's freedom, but at the cost of a perpetual debt to his last owner Nebabba.

Tarrfur doesn't know much of Wookie life and culture and strives to be more wookie like although most of his references are from media rather than real interactions.

Since earning freedom Tarrfur has worked as hired muscle to make the payments he needs to keep Nebabba off his back.
