Background
Asashi was born on Phatrong and raised among the Ukita clovoc, militant protectors and peacekeepers of the planet separated into clans overseeing various regions. These clovocs often will help sway the influence of certain governments or rulers through their law keeping, whether by money, fame, or honor alone, is up to the clovoc in question to decide. The Ukita clovoc was a well respected and powerful clan prior to the arrival of the Empire, which is what made them a target for the planet's new Regional Governor. When many of the clovocs originally resisted the Empire landing troops on Phatrong, an example was made of the Ukita. Their chief clansman was imprisoned and publicly executed, along with his family. The Ukita were permanently dissolved by the Governor under penalty of death.
This never sat well with Asashi and several of his Ukita companions. They hatched a plan to restore their clan's lost honor. Seven of them, with Asashi as their leader, feigned a new found love of the Empire and began working beside the Imperials that occupied their planet. They proved their worth as valuable ambassadors and bodyguards, all the while scouting the weaknesses and routines of the Governor and his protectors. They made friends and even became liked by many. A year passes before the septet make their move. It was never enough for just revenge against the man. It must be public and humbling to know the Ukita spirit was never broken.
During the festival of combat, an annual tradition on Phatrong, where the greatest Kyuzo warriors compete, the plan was enacted. Convincing the head of security to allow them access to security checkpoints as guards, the seven Ukita valiantly fought their way into the Governor's stadium box, dispatching dozens of Stormtroopers and guards before the arena even went on alert. Three of Asashi's companions died in the final siege, but their prize was caught attempting to flee as a coward would. Asashi broadcast the final moments of the Regional Governor across the system for all Imperials to see, whimpering and begging for his life. From this point on, Asashi became a wanted man.
Forced to leave their homes, Asashi and his companions, went their separate ways likely never to see each other again. A marked man for sure in the Empire, Asashi took up what was easiest for him as a profession - bounty hunting. After so many years of treacherous dealings and dishonorable villains, his love for the trade fell out of favor. He moved on to high value assassinations but quickly found it distasteful. He had a stint at vigilante for hire work before joining the Rebellion for a time. But nothing could fill the lost sense of purpose in his heart.
He now wanders the Outer Rim, bringing justice where there is disorder, and honor to the honorless.
