Engineered Redundancies 1 SM 34 The character benefits from emergency repair patches (see page 182 of the EDGE oF THE EMPIRE Core Rulebook). The character still benefits from stim packs as usual. but can only benefit from a total of 5 stim packs and/or emergency repair patches per day. Additionally. the character can be healed with the Mechanics skill in the same manner as a droid.

Background

R2-GC11 is a modified R2 unit, built for strength and putting things/people back together. Programmed and rebuilt by renowned slicer/droid tech Noved Nosirrom, R2-GC11 was initially built as a cybernetic repair droid on Tatooine. Due to its need to possibly deal with incorrigible organic lifeforms, R2-GC11 was built larger and a bit tougher than other R2 units. R2-GC11 was also designed to read and interpret emotions in an attempt to soothe the feelings of the injured. Once its powers were discovered by a Hutt spy, Teemo the Hutt stole R2-GC11 and used it to rebuild goons who were maimed in battle. As a result, several of Teemo's Gamorrean goons are walking around with cybernetic arms and legs! R2-GC11 is highly sought after by both the Alliance and The Empire.

Motivation

R2-GC11 is now primarily motivated by friendship, seeking out companionship whenever possible and in any form (droid or organic).

Duties

OBLIGATION: OBSESSION 10: R2-GC11's "neural empathy unit" (NEU) has hard-wired its processors to seek out companionship at any cost. This has led to R2-GC11 to obsessively check on former clients to see how they are doing even at the cost of putting those it is around at risk.
