Background
Isha Ryojikan was born to a family of farmers in verdant pasture lands of Mikkia, in the Expansion Rim. Isha was the fifth son of seven children. Isha’s eldest brother joined the local militia when he was a toddler, carrying on the warrior tradition of his people. From an early age, Isha demonstrated great concern for all living things. At age 6, Isha’s family realized he was not cut out to work as a farmer or to follow his brother. So his parents decided to pledge him to the service of the local temple.
On the night before he was to join the temple, his village was raided by marauders. His eldest brother was part of the militia that managed to fight off the marauders, but not before his brother was seriously wounded. Isha could sense his brothers pain, approached him and using the Force managing to heal his brother. Isha joined the service of the priesthood the next day. However, two weeks later a Jedi Master, a Togruta named Aslan Tor, arrived. He convinced the priests that the Jedi Order would be able to help Isha develop his talent in the Force. So Isha left for the Jedi temple on Tython.
Isha studied for the next two decades, eventually rising to the rank of Knight. Isha has no skill I the use of the lightsaber, but he had a prodigious capacity in using the Force to help others. He became skilled in medicine, not just using the Force to heal others, but he studied anatomy and would spend hours outside the temple, experimenting with the local fauna for healing herbs.
At the age of 27, Isha and a fellow Jedi, a human named Anter Miln, were sent to mediate a dispute between two sides of a conflict in the Outer Rim. They Jedi arrived at a small village, not unlike the one Isha grew up on, when they were attacked. Anter fought to defend the villagers, but they were overwhelmed. Isha, feeling the suffering of the people, fought to heal as may of the injured as possible. He was unable to save Jedi Miln. One of the attackers was captured. For the first time, Isha felt an unfamiliar hatred for what this person had done and used the Force to attack him.
The next day, having heard of the attack and the death of Jedi Miln, a contingent of Jedi including Master Tor arrived, finding Isha unharmed but terrified of what happened. Isha returned to the temple and spent the next year in meditation, but was unable to escape the idea that he used the Force for something other than compassion, healing. At the suggestion of Master Tor, Isha took the Barash Vow, promising to exile himself from the order and seek the guidance of the Force.
Isha was sent to a Jedi temple to study and meditate. His only ally was a repurposed architect droid, M3-D1. Over the next decade, Isha immersed him in the Cosmic Force realizing that all that was happening because of the Force, including the attack. Isha decided to study the lightsaber, especially defensive techniques.
Isha returned to Tython, ending his Barash Vow, and having missed the wars and conflicts Sith the Mandolrians and the return of Revan.
Motivation
Faith: Cosmic Force. While Isha's connection to the Living Force is strong, it was only through intense meditation during his Barash Vow that he developed an understanding of the Cosmic Force. He has placed greater faith in understanding the ways the Force has moved not only to shape him, but also those around him. Even now, as he returns to the Jedi Temple and begins his work on behalf of the Republic, he sees the suffering of the galaxy but believes there is a design everyone is being led to by the Cosmic Force and Isha is seeking to follow this destiny.
Morality
Compassion/Hatred (50). Isha senses so much in the Force, senses the suffering of others and seeks to alleviate that as much as possible. While not a pacifist, Isha does seek to help and heal others as much as possible. However, when he sees great suffering and injustice he has a tendency to lash out in hatred. Just as he did after the death of his fellow Jedi.
Description
Isha is relatively short for Mikkian, standing just under 1.5 meters tall. For years he was described a scrawny, but over the last 10 years he has toned his muscles. While still rather lean and unopposing, he has developed a slight athletic, almost dancer build. Like other Mikkian, Isha has no ear and a tangle of motile tendrils. These forest green tendrils, which match his skin, have vibrant yellow rings on several of them. This is coloring is quite unusual, even for the diversity found on Mikkian.
Isha's gentle soul and compassion towards others makes him an excellent mediator, a skill he watched his mother exercise while especially young. He would never consider himself a leader, but others look to him because of his knowledge and his thoughtfulness.
