Background
For as long as Ibba remembers he was never content staying at one place too long. Only 14 years old he smuggled himself on board a freighter and once the initial confusion over the stowaway was resolved was allowed to stay on board to work as an assistant to the ship's mechanic.
He worked as a mechanic on board several ships before meeting Rigg Jenston, a human bounty hunter of some repute. Rigg had a steady gigg working for the headquarters of Ship4U, a galaxy-spanning company with operations mostly in the core and colonies that specialized in buying and selling used starships. Rigg worked for the company as one of their reapo-men, going after clients that failed to pay the (very affordable, industries lowest) monthly payments on their new previously loved starships.
The company's repo-men always worked in pairs, travelling together on a fast ship and splitting up to get both their ship and the target vessel back to which ever branch had put out a request for repossession of the target ship. Rigg's partner had decided to get out of the business and Rigg hoped Ibba would be a very useful substitute with his piloting, slicing and mechanics know-how.
He turned out to be quite right, and in the just under two years they worked together Rigg and Ibba took on many repo-jobs and got to be good friends. Ibba taught Rigg how to fix starships and slice computer systems and Rigg taught Ibba everything he knew about shooting blasters. The Chadra-Fan's natural reflexes served him well, and due to his short stature Rigg limited the training to smaller pistols his partner could easily handle.
This all changed a little over two weeks ago when Rigg and Ibba were on a job looking for a recent model of a YT-2400 freighter. On a remote space station where they stopped for refueling Ibba noticed a SoroSuub Personal Luxury Yacht he remembered from his list. With the ship prepping for departure Rigg and Ibba had to work fast, and had no time to confirm that the bounty was still active. They barged on board, ordered the crew and some stuck-up looking humans to leave the ship at gunpoint, laughing away their claims that the ship was payed in full. That was what they all said, after all.
Only this time they were right. When Rigg contacted the Ship4U headquarters during a stopover as Ibba was out getting supplies he was told in no uncertain terms that the ship was indeed payed in full by the owner, the son of a prominent director at the Kuat shipyards. Rigg left his partner stranded and made a deal with his bosses to blame this whole thing on Ibba. According to the story they cooked up Ibba lied to Rigg to have him help steal the yacht, which Ibba intended to sell for profit.
Ibba only realized the depth of the betrayal when Rigg contacted him two days after leaving him stranded. He felt it only fair to warn Ibba to stay far away and get out of the core systems since the Empire had posted a bounty on his head for the theft of the luxury yacht, along with a long laundry list of offenses supposedly committed when breaking into the ship, threatening people at gunpoint, leaving the owner stranded and so on.
Ibba did the only thing he could do. He ran. He quickly found out that all his savings, supposedly safe in his accounts on Coruscant had been frozen on account of the bounty. He hid himself on board a freighter headed to the Outer Rim, scrounging a living by hiding on the ship and stealing food, tools, interesting trinkets and what ever else he could get his hands on. He got caught by the crew after getting to engrossed in his work trying to "improve" one of the ship's systems. The ship's next stop was Mos Shuuta on Tatooine where Ibba was graciously allowed to leave the ship unmolested after the ship's mechanic explained to the captain just how much better the ship was running after the stowaway came on board.
Now Ibba has found himself on a desert planet with no credits, no prospects and no way to clear his name.
Motivation
Ambition: Wanderlust/Novelty
Ibba wants to explore the galaxy, see the wonders of every imaginable planet. Except for the ones with lots of water.
Obligations
Betrayal (10 pts): Ibba used to work with another bounty hunter in the ship repo-business. When they repossessed a ship they came across by chance before checking if the owner had payed his debt to the seller. As it turned out he had payed in full since the bounty was put out. It also turned out that he was the son of one of the directors of the Kuat shipyards. As Ibba's partner heard this he decided to make Ibba his fall-guy, blaming him for stealing the ship. Ibba managed to escape, but his partner got a pat on the back while Ibba got a fat Imperial bounty placed on him.
Bounty (10 pts): Ibba has an Imperial bounty placed on him for the theft of a ship, along with a long laundry list of offenses supposedly committed when breaking into the ship, leaving the owner stranded, costing him time and credits, etc. Ibba knows of the bounty, but not how high it is.
Description
Although he is rather tall for a Chadra-Fan, Ibba Dant only just breaks one meter in height coming in at 1.07 meters in height. With short dark-brown fur all over his body, impressive front teeth and black eyes he looks fairly harmless. He looks bulky, on the verge of being fat, but upon closer inspection that is probably down to the bulky padded armor he wears under his long flight jacket. When he removes his jacket two small but powerful-looking blasters are visible in sheaths under each arm.
