He grew up on the Nautolan homeworld, living in the deeper and darker parts of the ocean floor, training under immense pressure, comparable to increased gravity. He left his planet once he believed he had fought all that his homeworld had to offer, and to find his sister, Rarlicae, who he believed left to join the Alliance.

Naoto Apaliate is a fighter, first and foremost. He gets no greater thrill than the rush of combat, preferably, as close as quarters get, even hand-to-hand. He is amicable, trusting, and friendly, but cares little for broader sides of things like the Jedi or Sith, Empire or Rebellion. He has never been called responsible, he is constantly looking for the next fight, nothing more, and nothing less.
