Son of King Adas. The only ever reigning monarch of the Sith, the only sith to ever conquer and unite all the factions through his savagery and warlike cunning. After conquering most of the galaxy the king tested his sons resolve by requesting that he Complete 5 tasks. Failure was not an option. 1) was to kill his best friend in one on one combat, 2) was to sacrifice the younglings of his kath hounds, 3) was to Execute a random citizen 4) was to drink the poisoned wine of Khaless and not die 5) was to detonate a primed explosive in the core of their enemies homeworld. With a heavy heart he completed the 4 tasks But when it came down to it and he had to be the one to destroy a planet full of the millions of Krillik inhabitants on Alderaan, he just couldn't do it. He couldn't justify his own life being worth more than all of theirs combined. In the war room in front of his father's council, shamans and battle-hardened sith Lords, Aridam Refused the last task and thus humiliated his father in front of everyone. Having shamed his royal Sith blood with his compassion and lack of bloodlust his father had the sith lords beat him to death with metal clubs. However, when everyone had left and he was a bloody mess on the floor, the king went to perform the family death ritual as was his custom. Much to his surprise his son was not dead. Somehow he had found the strength to keep on breathing and so his father decided that because of his sith-like determination to live he would give his son one last chance at redemption. King Adas devised a fiendish device in the unknown regions to make his son commit Genocide and regain his place as the Sith Prince. After healing him with traditional sith herbs he Put him in a conscious stasis container that would freeze his body in time but keep his mind still active. Prince Aridam could leave anytime he wished by making one horrendous choice. The moment he chose to leave, Alderaan and all its inhabitants would be destroyed by a stasis-linked bomb in the planet's core. The King before his death many years later made a decree that Alderaan was not to be touched as it was a sacred memory to his sons weakness and what happens when you let compassion get in the way. The bomb was thus never set off and Alderaan remained for centuries as an example. Aridam never left his torture and instead suffered a living hell for centuries on his own without the ability to move. With time his desire for the greater good only got stronger. with the passing of eons he became the last of his kind. Still believing Alderaan to exist, Aridam remains in stasis floating through space on a now-abandoned prison platform from a time before the most ancient of records. The king had hoped to cure his son of his weakness and for The prince to one day rule the empire but instead, he froze his son for half an eternity and made him into a leader stronger and wiser than he could have ever anticipated. Aridam has no knowledge of what has happened throughout history or that his fathers empire and indeed his very race is gone but what remains is a determination to take the lead and show people a better way. Aridam is the ancients gift to the Galaxy, the hero they need and the unconventional leader who knows how to make the tough calls.
