t3-r1c1 was a b1 battle droid one of billions fighting the republic and their clone army like every other b1 he was cheap expendable and not expected to last very long maybe one or two battles but surprisingly he remained functional till the war ended and the cis fell apart sometime later he was picked up by scavengers reprogrammed and sold on the black market where he ended up in the possession of a smuggler named kam hysson where T3 was given the position of co pilot and served with kam for years and as time passed kam and T3 became more than just droid and master they ended up becoming good friends and were a rather successful duo until ultimately things went wrong kam accepted a job from teemo the hutt to smuggle some spice unfortunately due to imperial complications the job went wrong and kam was imprisoned by teemo and was scheduled to be executed until T3 made teemo an offer he would become a smuggler and pay off the debt kam owed and if he succeeded kam would be allowed to go free teemo ultimately after thinking it over accepted these terms afterwards t3 because of the reputation held by battle droids after the clone wars was given a disguise and an alias to go by Terric
