HK-421 was a protocol droid that was sold for scrap to a relatively stupid bounty hunter of no note. Said bounty hunter "tortured him and drove him mad" (experimented with installing weaponry into his body, such as an internal Slicer Gear, Electrobinoculars, a comlink, and a poison injector in his pointer finger, and installing bounty hunting subroutines), or at least that's the excuse he will give. In reality, his code was twisted somehow, breaking him of his inability to harm another being, and he found that he could think and act more freely than ever before, so he viewed his "master", the idiotic tinkerer as a threat, and used the weapons given to him and captured him, by anesthetizing his "master" in his sleep, and bringing him in to the local Hutt crime lord for a quick bounty. He even got a bonus because the target was alive, a bonus he has not often gotten since.

During a recent assassination, he was severely damaged, disabling various protocols he has installed in himself over the years. Thus, this has caused him to be slightly erratic, and potentially even learn to... play well with others...

He's trying to make it as the richest, most infamous "protocol droid" to ever grace the stars, with his own flair.

Debt (+20): Golga the Hutt gave HK-421 a choice after returning his would be "master" to be cashed in; Take the money and leave in peace, or take an old junker, a rebuilt YT-1300 freighter, confiscated from another smuggler before his execution, and, presumably, be in debt. HK-421 took the debt, confident that he could pay it off.
