In addition to seeing flashes of the future at the GM's discretion, an Iktotchi may spend a triumph on a check to determine Initiative to perform a free maneuver before the encounter begins or to have an ally in short range perform a free maneuver before the encounter begins.

Background

Volris Nil comes from Iktotch, the third moon orbiting a gas giant in a remote region. Her people helped form the ancient Je'daii Order, which eventually became the Jedi, whom worked in close collaboration with the Iktotchi over the years. Foreseeing darkness as the Clone Wars came about, Volris's people retreated to their ancestral home, and prepared to hide away as the galaxy came into the grasp of evil forces. Volris's family was amongst these immigrants, and she was able to reach adulthood in relative comfort as a result of Iktotch's seclusion, only mildly afflicted by Imperial rule. Having recently had a vision of the importance she will play in the events to come on Abafar, she broke away to assist the rebel Jarek Parsin there, despite warnings from her people. What she has seen must come to pass, and she will ensure it so.

Motivation

Quest: The Jedi

Volris's people sequestered themselves away as the Empire rose to power, with Order 66 stomping out the lives of the Jedi and many force sensitive species across the galaxy. This fills her with shame, and motivates her to restore the Jedi Order to its former status in order to banish the darkness that has befallen the galaxy.

Volris firmly believes that the war against the Empire will be won by the truly exceptional individuals that make up its ranks. In order for someone to provide value to the cause and continue to fight against the Empire, they must survive their missions and remain safe. She has taken it upon herself to ensure the safety and continued survival of the Rebels, one life at a time.

Description

Volris Nil is a lumbering 6'5", her height afforded to her by her Iktotchi biology, which also has her hands to be roughly twice the size of a human's hand, and has given her large horns which come down the sides of her head. She is a natural athlete, although her lightly armored outfit reveals little of her shape or form, perfectly prepared for the bright and warm environment of Abafar. A large scabbard is used to hold her Vibrosword, peeking out from her cloak on her right shoulder.
