Background
Perin was a well regarded physician around the Core Worlds for many years, oblivious to the Empire's corruption. As their human-centric agenda became more brazen, however, Perin foolishly voiced his dissent, which put him on a criminal watch list. His mentor urged Perin to flee the system before he could be rounded up. Perin managed to escape but this put a bounty squarely on his head.
Perin's dissatisfaction with the Empire and his pro-alien stance aligns him with Rebellion sympathies; however, he considers himself a pacifist and does not agree with the Rebellion's methods. Despite his opposition to the Empire's policies, his ideology is Core World-centric, causing him to believe much of the anti-Rebellion propaganda. The Outer Rim may be Perin's new home, but he considers himself a temporary resident.
Motivation
Perin is a staunch supporter of alien rights. However, he had a comfortable upbringing in the Core Worlds and carries himself with the semi-arrogance of the Core World elite, despite his fall from grace.
