Background
Captured from his home by slavers , Buum was sold into slavery. The empire put him to work in mines on another planet. The forests above resembled his home, but he rarely got to see them as his work was below, mining the derivatives that make up durasteel for the imperial war machine alongside other non-humans. But Buum’s curious nature was unsuppressable. He frequently observed those who were maintaining the mining equipment, and quickly gained an aptitude himself. He was cautious though, causing some to wonder why the machines in his branch of the mines were breaking down less than others.
Motivation
Curiousity and Justice.
Buum’s curiosity was strong growing up, but having been exposed to a large galaxy, a raging fire has been stoked and he wants to see everything. His curiosity is well known by those who have worked with him, to the point that if he ends up tagging along on diplomatic missions as a matter of expediency, they are likely to hook him to a tank of sleeping gas to keep his curiosity from causing trouble for them and himself.
He also has a childlike sense of justice, which may frequently cause him to disagree with others, especially if large words are required to explain things. His justice is suspended where his curiosity is involved, as he is unafraid to bypass security when it stands between him and his focus.
Duties
Resource Acquisition/Denial - 20
Buum's curiosity causes him to seek out new things (new to him at least), which he is eager to show to his compatriots (think, show and tell).
When he is unable to bring something back, his sense of curiosity and desire for justice conflict. When this happens, his other love, one for large explosions, kicks into gear, and he's more than willing to do the work required for subsequent lightshow.
Description
Buum is a standard size Ewok. His curiosity led him to learn mechanic skills when he was trapped in the mines, but outside of captivity, his curiosity has run wild. This causes him to get distracted at times, especially if he becomes bored.
He values his compatriots, even through they have to treat him like a child at times. Those who have worked with him know what he brings to the table, and how to steer him, but those who have not worked with him before may find him difficult and a risk to the mission.
His cunning has been noted by all, belying his small stature. He has also shown willingness to use his native language as a means of distraction.
