Background
Nardel was born to the Chief of the Razortusk Tribe of Toola, the Whiphid homeworld. Recent settlement on Toola has pushed the Whiphid tribes together, moving them from clans of 15-40 up to villages into the low hundreds. As part of the adaptation, Nardel's father sent him to the settlements to learn more about the galaxy as a whole, before he one day becomes chief. As part of the exploration, Nardel has wandered off planet, relocating to Daalaang III, and using his outdoor acumen to lead hunts and deal with dangerous wild life.
Motivation
Discovery (self) - Nardel seeks to become the chief that his tribe expects him to be. Part of that is internalizing the ancient traditions of the Whiphid people, but incerasingly a part of that is learning of the wider galaxy to help usher the Razortusk Whiphids into the broader galactic community.
Morality
50 - Assertiveness/Obstinacy
Nardel is effectively a prince, the scion of a growing tribe on Toola, and as such he is used to getting his way, and treating people below him as tools. Thiscan lead to issues where he can dismiss those around him who actually could be valuable to him.

Nardel has learned much on his voyaging, but his thoughts often drift back to the new struggles of the Whiphids and the pressures pushing them to adapt. He often things back to them when he hears about issues with natives of other planets.
