Background

Asimi is the child of an agricultural leader and terraformation scientist on Mydasos.
Asimi was taken back to train as a youngling in the Jedi Order by a Togruta named Razee Mis.

Being far from the mountains, Mydasos was in the process of evolving Tundra biomes, and these were being generated (with assistance from the Phydolon agricultural leaders) near the swamps in which Asimi lived. Asimi's mother was advocated and selected for leadership by the Orucyte Rhizome. Asimi's father was an agricultural/terraformation scientist. These two were working together to produce massive forest biomes for the purposes of improved soil quality and regeneration for their agricultural production. A decade ago, Jedi Pathfinders landed on the planet and, choosing to land in the Forest, rather than marshland or mountains, landed near Asimi's dwelling. Sensing a strong presence of the Force in the area, they explored and stumbled upon the agricultural colony. There was hesitation on the part of both parties. The Pathfinders did not know this species, and were wary of hostilities, and the Phydolons were unaccustomed to seeing another humanoid species. After demonstrating their mutual interest and skill in the Force, however, the pathfinders were able to discuss (albeit in a "needlessly complex" manner that annoyed the Phydolons) their mission and galactic situation. Aware that several members of the Phydolons had a connection with the force, they attempted to convince several families to send their younglings with them in order to study it in greater focus and from a different perspective. They were largely unsuccessful, and fact that they could not connect with the pathfinders emotionally scared many families. Asimi, however, advocated for her own training and schooling, having a naive understanding of the force according to Phydolon society, believing that it was something to be explored rather than something inherent inside everything (albeit a highly respectable and important other, a God as it were). Asimi was sent with one other youngling, Acolis. Being the only two that could truly communicate, they bonded and became extremely close over the flight back to the Jedi Temple, and throughout the beginnings of their schooling. As they began to enter their second standard year of schooling, their passion for exploration and discovery slowly soured. Being extremely far away from Mydasos, they began to feel strange, as if they were not where they should be. Asimi began questioning her desire to leave the planet. She began to view everything in this new space as needlessly complex and strange, meant for creatures other than her. Desiring to return home, she quickly became depressed. Acolis fell deeper into torment. Being distanced from Mydasos for so long had stripped her of her desire to eat or be active. She quickly became emaciated, refusing to do anything, sometimes even refusing to be with Asimi. Asimi did not understand why Acolis would want to isolate herself which drove a deep wedge through their companionship. She felt that Acolis was no longer the person she had been when they had arrived. She felt that she herself was not the same. This culminated in Acolis throwing herself from the top of a cliff on an exploration mission, ending her life. Asimi fell even deeper into her own depression after that. Losing her best friend and only companion in this strange new world made her deeply convinced that everything was wrong, her school, her destiny, her own life. She began to question The Force, wondering why it would ever want to cause someone this much pain, or drive someone to do what Acolis did. In a particularly bad state of mind, she travelled to the cliffside from which Acolis threw herself. She sat on the edge and meditated. She meditated on why all this had happened, on what it meant. She meditated on whether or not she could continue... with anything. She opened her eyes and looked down at the crashing waves. On a rock, just above the waterline, she saw something. A cluster of flowers... no... a ring of mushrooms. Asimi began to cry. She went down to the ring. She could feel Acolis, her emotional connection was still there, barely detectable. Asimi picked up a mushroom and looked at it.. felt it. It was connected to something. She dusted off the chunk, it was bone. As she put the mushroom in a small specimen container, she thought about all the good they can still do, and as she tightened the lid with a hiss, she thought about how The Force could help if it wanted.

Motivation

Morality

Duty (5)
Morality (55)
Compassion:
Asimi has a love for life, and an appreciation of it. Her understanding and appreciation of the Force comes from her love of life, and an understanding that the Force is what connects all life.

Hatred:
Asimi does not understand how people can be so cruel to other beings, especially to their own species or tribe members. This inability to understand leads to Othering others, making Asimi view them as an external threat to life, causing conflict within her in regards to her love even for the life of her enemies and the fear and hatred she has for their wastefulness of life.

Duty: Political Support

Description

5'2''. 86 Lbs. Head shape is compressed horizontally, making a tall, thin head. Typically keeping their hair braided, Asimi's hair length is typically to their shoulders, however, full length, it extends past their shoulder blades. On the side of their face, a clump of mycelia surrounding Silka Beads acts as their Padawan Braid. The mycelium "hair" secretes a slightly toxic waste byproduct. This byproduct caused mild irritation if ingested in small quantities, resulting in a spicy taste, and poisonous if ingested in large quantitites.

Other Notes

Asimi suffers from neurotic tendencies that present themselves in a similar manner to Terror Management Theory. This means that she has an intense fear of and anxiety towards death (In her case both her own and other's). This itself can present itself in many ways, such as being overly talkative, reverting to the cultural customs of her homeworld (Lack of privacy, very little vocal communication etc...), isolation or depressive tendencies, or anxious body movements.
