Name Rank Book & Page Description
Toughened (Bodyguard) 1 Gain +2 Wound Threshold
Barrage (Bodyguard) 1 Add one damage per rank of Barrage to one hit of successful Ranged (Heavy) or Gunnery attacks with non-starship/vehicle weapons at long or extreme range.
Durable (Bodyguard) 1 The character may reduce a Critical Injury result they suffer by 10 per rank of Durable, to a minimum of one.
Grit (Bodyguard) 1 Each rank of Grit increases a character’s strain threshold by one.
Second Wind (Mercenary Soldier) 1 Once per encounter, the character may use a Second Wind incidental to recover an amount of strain equal to their ranks in Second Wind.
Point Blank (Mercenary Soldier) 1 The character adds one damage per rank of Point Blank to one hit of successful Ranged (Heavy) or Ranged (Light) attacks made while at short range or engaged.
Side Step (Mercenary Soldier) 1 Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may perform a Side Step maneuver to side step and try to avoid incoming ranged attacks. They then suffer a number of strain no greater than their ranks in Side Step. Until the start of the character’s next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all ranged combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character.
Hard Headed (Bodyguard) 1 The character may perform the Hard Headed action. On any turn in which the character is Staggered or Disoriented, they may perform the Hard Headed action (this action may be specifically performed even though they are normally barred from performing actions when staggered). They make a Daunting (4) Discipline check. If they succeed, they are no longer staggered or disoriented. The difficulty of this check decreases by one per additional rank of Hard Headed, to a minimum of Easy (1).

Background

Yesterday's Hero
Whether through the machinations of a political enemy, the natural ebb and flow of popularity, or a legitimate mistake or miscalculation, the character has now fallen from grace. Running over Teemo's first son was just the latest in a string of mishaps for Blasto. Shooting off the big toe of his commanding officer, losing a bet on how much Bantha milk he could drink, and driving a speeder through a busy market because he thought he had to schedule time to use the fresher once a day, all contributed to his eventual predicament. The universe seems to not be on Blasto's side, or is it?

Motivation

Conflict: Out of the Game.
Ever since he was drummed out of the military, he's just trying to make a few credits to stay ahead of the game. It's not Blasto's fault things have ended up like this. His CO should have worn hardened boots. Bantha milk is supposed to be good for you. Who knew you could use a fresher any time you want? And that little Hutt? Hard to see those slugs when they are that young. That gravlift should have better mirrors!

Obligations

Debt (10): Maintaining equipment, staying current with technology, and keeping weapons charged or fully loaded is not easy. Without these things, the Hired Gun has no hope of employment. Blasto found himself grounded without sufficient funds to prepare for a job and had to borrow money from Teemo the Hutt. As Blasto was unable to pay in credits, Teemo demanded services as payment, keeping Blasto around the paalace doing menial tasks. Once Teemo was killed, Blasto is not sure if this dedbt has been cancelled by the Hutts.

Description

The Forces’ perfect idiot.
