Tike comes from a modest family background. He grew up the youngest of 4. All of his older siblings have gone on to become respectable members of Chissan society. Mother and Father were always swooning over their accomplishments. Tike on the other hand was more interested in the goings on in the stars overhead than the people on ground. He studied as much off-world info as he could get his hands on. He had dreams of being off world and exploring the vast history and cultures of the universe. He got approved for space pilot training under the Chiss off world Contact Committee and excelled in his class. He was groomed at the same time to act as an ambassador of his people. He politely accepted the training if only to gain the piloting skills. He holds himself to Chiss social standards but his time on the rim has jaded him a bit. He never really learned of the seedier side of the Universe. He expected to find the loyal members of the Empire to maintain a high moral fiber. Yet, those he encountered time and again were deceptive, underhanded and selfish. He found that the Outer Rim planets, though wilder and aggressive, were easier to deal with than Core or Inner planets. Plus, their was more to explore and discover on the Rim. Most importantly, there were people to BUY what he found. He eventually became obsessed with researching and discovering long lost treasures of the Universe. Although he communicates with them occasionally, he has not returned to the Chiss home region in 2 years. This has put a strain on his obligation to the Ascendancy.

WANDERLUST - Tike wants to see everything the Universe has to offer. All the old hidden secrets it is hiding drive his desire. Almost to a fault. He has and will put himself in harms way to gain information that may lead to the next great find.

15 OBLIGATION
DUTYBOUND - Tike is responsible for obligated service to the Chiss Ascendancy for the cost of his piloting training. He is expected to provide piloting service to them in a certain amount per year (# of runs x days of travel per run sort of thing). He has not been back in 2 years. Not fulfilling the required Duty causes it to hold over and increase a bit. Defaulting on the required duty can result in arrest, detainment and forced restitution. He's not to the point of defaulting yet but he is quickly on his way.

Tike is a slim, average height Chiss who wears the remnant of childhood wide eyed excitement on his face. The toll of an aggressive and sometimes unforgiving Universe can easily be seen moving in. But the light of hope and possibility is not yet lost in him.
